The Whim Alumnae Association (and Board) was established in 1996 to ensure the stability and longevity of Whim 'n Rhythm - Yale's premier senior women's a cappella singing group. The board obtained CT incorporation and 501(c)3 tax-exempt status, and established an endowment with a gift from the class of 1996. The board serves as a liaison between the current group, the alumnae network, Yale leadership and the greater Yale community.

Supporting the Undergraduate Group

• Annual seed funding
• Orientation and ongoing support for Pitchpipe and Business Manager
• Organizing Annual Alumnae Tap Brunch
• Distribute and manage service/outreach funds for current group
• Provide guidance and support for current group when consulted

Alumnae Relations

• Communication to alumnae network
• Event planning (reunions, regional events, fundraisers)
• Develop and maintain relationships with Yale and other alumni/ae organizations
• Provide mentorship opportunities and connections

Endowment

• Fundraising and goal-setting
• Investment and spending decisions
• Tax and other filing responsibilities
